Admittingly, not the greatest of outcomes, but I'm really tired. Experiment, spend time on your work and you will get a nice result.
It shows a nice way to do materials, and a nice way to do abstract c4d's.
Obviously, you can also do Effect c4d's, wireframes and even bubble's (sort of) the same way. For bubble's, you'd simply just not add deformers etc.
Experiment with colours on all parts of each material, you will/can get some amazing effects/outcomes. Even add in stock images to the 'Layer' part of the materials instead of just one colour, blur the stock too... again, you can get great outcomes.
